TIPS:

turn off electronics,  eye 2 eye,  don't worry,  use a family photo prompt,  set aside a time,  tell on a car ride,  visit site of a story/happening, ask about yor childs day get their story!

   Humor,  relationships,  ideas,  praise,  emotion,  tears,  greif,  fear,  insult,  character,  action,  places,  time,  history,  heroes,  villains,  suspense,  trauma,  inspiration,  opinions,  dialog  and YOU!

SAVING STORIES FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS:

write them out,  audio files, video tape,  photos with descripitions on back,  drawings of settings, MP3, podcast, You Tube, My Space , Slideshare

update technology every couple years to newest format and  save backup copies elsewhere ( a set at home and a set at grandma's house)

Around the Fireplace,  dinnertime,  bedtime,  campfire, vacation time,  on the porch,  a picnic,  hike /walk,  on car rides,  reunions,  vist to Grandparents, daytrips,  at the park

Tell-U-Ride Nov. 6, 2010 1-4 p.m. A Tellabration Equine Trail Ride

Saddle up for the Tell-U-Ride Tellabration equine trail ride at  Fort Hill Farms 260 Quaddick Road in Thompson, Ct. 06277.  Novemebr 6 we will be on the trail 1-4 p.m. with  stops at stations to hear professional storytellers share a quick  tale and  then ride on. ( non horse riders can take a wagon out for an additional fee) Riders can enjoy  a bonus option: ride in the Corn Maze after the trail!  Riders fee $10.00 to benefit the Ct. Coming this Fall : "Christmas Spirits", you heard the epic Christmas tale, this fall it will be available in print! More to follow, check back often for details as they develop!  I'm so excited to bring you this wonderful story in a print format to enjoy over and over.

 

Spring is in the AIR! I've been booked into the Ct. Storytelling Festival at Conn College in New London, Ct. for April 29, 30 and May1, 2011.
