Ct. Renegades Cowboy Mounted Shooting Club based in Ct. Myself and my son belong to the club. Members portray 1880's style characters from the west. The sport consists of riding a horse through one of 50 designated patterns shooting blanks from a Colt 45 pistol to pop balloon targets. Considered a rodeo sport it has a lot of appeal for both riders and spectators. Riders are scored on time and accuracy. Part of the national Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association (CMSA)the Ct. Renegades has riders at all levels and holds a number of competitions throughout the year. I am club announcer. |
